“I don’t wear dresses, but when I do they are sequined.”

Courtney came to me to get a very special custom wedding dress made. She has a hard body to fit dresses as she is a size 00 on top but a size 8 in the hips. She already had the fabric she wanted the dress made out of: gold sequins with silver backs that her fiancé had bought for her during an outing to a fabric store years prior. The design process is a true collaboration. I use magazines and Pinterest boards to understand the vision, and then we go from there to finalize a design with sketches. Fast forward five months, seven fittings, a little blood and sweat on my side, and Courtney was ready to look like a goddess on her wedding day!
