GaRey Coats Winter 2011
Designs / Projects & Design
This was my final collection before opening up Silhouette and transitioning to alterations. And I have to say, it was a solid collection to go out on. A mixture of wool coats and cotton sateen jackets, this was my most complete and intentional collection. The Lauren trench started with Libby from F’10 as a base, and transcended to a whole new level. The other cotton jacket, Carla, was a motorcycle jacket meets Jackie O. The belted wool Jennifer coat was made to keep you warm with the collar buttoning up to your chin. And the Caroline with a removable hood, was perfect for all the cold rainy Portland days. Katherine was the showstopper. This 1950’s inspired wool swing coat brought class everywhere she went. With a full circle skirt and concealed front buttons, she would take you to the symphony and the grocery store.
