Kate
Custom Designs / Bridal / Restyling
Kate came to me with a strapless dress that was too small for her through the chest, but she loved the materials and knew something could be done to transform it into her wedding skirt. She trusted me and let me play around, pinning a variety of options on her like a real-life mannequin. In the end, we rotated the skirt so the slit was over the left leg and pulled all the fullness towards the back with knife pleats.
Kate also had me custom design her a lace topper to coordinate. She had fun shopping for the lace in California with her sister and ended up purchasing a gorgeous floral Chantilly lace. It didn’t come by the yard, but instead in a panel. On two edges of the fabric was a beautiful scallop which we used at the hem, and the other edges had a delicate looping which I used to finish off the back.
