This was the first custom wedding dress I ever made. I went to college with Mary, and after we graduated she landed a job in London, moved and fell in love. As I was working in bridal alterations, she asked me to design and sew her wedding dress. I was thrilled. She was getting married in Portland but was coming home only a couple weeks before the wedding. This meant I HAD to go to London to do a fitting with her, so I wasn’t fully making her dress the week of the wedding! Good thing I already had a passport!
