Katy Trotter
Bridal / Restyling
The original empire waistline of the dress did nothing for Katy’s figure. She had fallen in love with the lace and the overall style of this Elizabeth Dye dress, but needed the waistline to be extended to her natural waist. Luckily, when she ordered the dress she was able to order extra lace and lining fabric. I was able to disconnect the bodice from the skirt and create a new midsection along with fitting the cups to her chest and adding interfacing and boning for structure and support. We were able to keep the overall style of the dress that she loved, but transform it into a more flattering silhouette.
